Partnered Sweepstakes

Overview

The Ally x ACC Sweepstakes landing page was designed to allow sports fans to enter for a chance to win ACC championship tickets.

Challenges

As we began working on the project, we quickly realized the complexity of the sweepstakes. Originally, there were 8 championship games users could attend, divided into 4 drawing periods based on the game dates. Users could select up to 3 games they wished to attend when entering the sweepstakes.

With multiple drawing dates and various games, we aimed to ensure it was easy for fans to understand what they could win and how to enter.

Process

To ensure the content was clear, we conducted a quick user test. We asked participants if they understood when each drawing was, which games were part of each drawing, and how they would enter each game they wanted to win.

Our findings helped us refine the design, content, and layout to ensure the sweepstakes were easy to understand.

Additionally, we added a small feature: a countdown above the form. The drawing information was color-coded to match the countdown, so users knew how much time they had left for specific games.

Outcome

Despite minor setbacks working with third-party vendors and finalizing official rules and legal stipulations, the page was a success, generating 6,000 leads in the first month.

The team remained agile and effectively handled multiple date changes, updating content and design as needed.

The marketing team was thrilled with the design and performance of the page, which became a foundational template for future sweepstakes pages.
